Whichever way you look at it, 31 translations of German-language literature were published in the USA in 2009, putting German at third place on the list of the most translated languages (after Spanish and French). [from love german books]

That's France. 30 or 40 percent of the songs played have to be made in French or by French artists.

I actually started reading more German books again since I discovered how much my written German has suffered from reading almost exclusively English these last few years.

I actually think 31 is much more than I figured there would be, seeing as their own market is so huge. I always thought they'd only pick the top 10 European books for translation each year, like they do with movies.
