Got the new iPod last night. I decided to stick with the 8 GB touch, since I'm only up to 4 GB of music and most of that I still skip over. And on the upside it only cost me about $100 after I tossed all my many accrued Target gift cards at it. Thank god they don't expire ( Read more... )

Re: headphones, they don't support stereo bluetooth yet, but the headset should work.

Also, I recommend the Incase slider case to protect it - I have the iPhone3G model and I LOVE it. I've dropped the thing several times and it's just fine. Pair it with a screen protector (I think I just bought the overpriced ones at the apple store, but you can get a 5-pack for cheaper at microcenter), and you should be set.

I'm actually more worried about compression than dropping or scratching the thing. Think the case will help with that?

Yup, it will. I can throw my phone in my full laptop bag, in my purse, I've laid on it (fallen asleep on it)....

I have the same one and I absolutely love it. It almost makes me want to do the full transformation to the iPhone. The 8GB one is pretty slick, right?

In addition to those already mentioned, see: Orpheus and Pan come to mind. I believe Dionysus technically qualifies as the patron of song, revelry, and theater
