Do you know about AddAll Books? It's this site that has listings from all these different bookstores and sorts them according to price for the book you entered. Sometimes it's cheaper than ebay, although they don't have lots, so I guess it's a trade-off...

Strategy for eBay: Don't bid at all until the last couple of minutes. It just drives the prices up. First way to spot a newbie ;) You'll notice a lot of auctions have zero bidders until the last minute. You can use the "watch item" (or something along those lines) feature to keep track of the ones you're interested in.
