So I watched the video, read the "transcript" article and the translation(they are all diffrent), got some reliable sources, went and read some trashy finnish mags about his love life, and rubbed my braincells together. This is what I get out of everything.....
lol i love his rants too! when my friend and i went to see them in NYC back in 2010 she (who is not a huge HIM fan and went mainly for my benefit) said that she was impressed with the way he talks to the audience and often interacts with them.
Awww that's sweet (esp. since your friend isn't a huge fan of the band :) I feel like sth is missing from the gig if he isn't very 'chatty' that day :) Ahhh anyw. hope we have an album release date soon and a world tour to look forward to^^
I was at the first concert (28.12.12) with my best friend, and I want to say a few words.. No offense to other fans over there, but I think, what was bad at that night, was pretty much most of the audience. C'mon, HIM hadn't played for almost 2 years, they did their best, Ville played guitar (even tambourine at the end of a song), band was playing really well too, everything (imo) sounded great. But still, there was a lot of people just standing there and taking photos with their new cameras and iPods and whatever sh*t. If I were in the band I would be really pissed off. It didn't come to me as a surprise when Ville said "Are we really that bad or are you (people)?" and he was trying to get people to shake their hips and FEEL the music. We (me and my friend) were wondering the same thing during the whole concert, we even felt sorry for the band because of people's behaviour. I'd like to hear other opinions too! (And by "most of the audience" I don't mean "the whole audience", maybe like 60 per cent or less)
How I felt...exactly!!! There even were ppl around me who were just standing absolutely still staring at the stage...the whole concert!!! I was also thinking that if I was on stage I'd be annoyed too. Anyw. your comment and a few other reviews from ppl who were there are a great find since they make me feel like I am not the only one who got a different vibe from the gig than what the newspapers/online articles or ppl who weren't at the gig seemed to get.^^ It's hard for ppl to understand how 'off' much of the audience was if they weren't there.
Hey, just noticed your comment above! And well.. I just agree! Haha! I also love when Ville (and why not other band members) talk to the audience. It feels like they are "down to earth" and for example forgetting lyrics isn't such a catastrophe when you can talk and joke about it with audience. That made me feel more comfortable with the situation there, if he had panicked I would have been in little shock too! It's wonderful to know you enjoyed the concert too, even though we had similar thoughts about some of the fans :)
Welcome! Its cool how you would be able to pick yourself out in the audience. Like if you could put it on facebook and tag yourselves. But you can easily get screen shots from it. :D
