I didn't like that part either but I think we should be indulgent to Ville, he's definitely going thru hard times (no label, career crisis, health issues etc.) We all know that he enjoys touring, he needs our support and understanding! let's just see what happens, hopefully we'll get a proper tour at least in Europe.

I see a totally different meaning in this part... more in terms of that as an artist, he doesn't see the whole touring thing as an inevitable duty that comes along with a new album but same as songwriting: if it feels right at that moment you just do it without having to "force" yourself to do so.

I think he's saying that they don't HAVE to tour (as a necessity) if they tour it's because they want to ..which is as it should be isn't it?

And the 8 songs part i think refers to the live recordings they did, one of which was Strange World.

Does he mean they will record one each week? He didnt elaborate on that and it didn't seem to follow on from what was said.

It sounds as though they will be in England for the mixing in london so we should get some press over here from around then. I think he is trying to play-down the whole tour thing, maybe some members of the band arent up to it? Some have families and kids to look after so i guess its understandable if they wish not to do any major tours...at least we have Helldone though hey.

Then again, maybe there will be a massive international tour and Ville is just messing with us. This would not surprise me either.

the 8 songs were from the same jam session from the Strange World video. in the BBC1 interview, Ville said the band did about 10 songs already and were hoping to have that come out in one form or another. It's the same session that Buried Alive By Love and Funeral of Hearts came from for that Sonic Seducer thing.
