This makes me want to smile and cry at the same time. I love the first line, of course he would almost lose the ring! Charlotte's reaction is perfect too - I want this to be canon!

:D, Its chucking it down with rain, I soaked thru, my hair is an absolute mess and i'm procratinating as i HAVE to start my legal dissertation today, but inspite of all this i have a mega huge grin from how sweet and perfect this was.
I lovvve how you wrote Dan in this, all clumsy with the ring, epic.
Great job!! Darlton should seriosly hire you lol.

Aww, yay! I'm so glad this was able to cheer up your day. :D Oh god, writing for Lost would be my dream job, straight up. If it weren't wrapping for good next year, I swear I'd fly out to Hawaii and hang around until they hired me! ;P

Thanks so much! :D And I'm so glad that shone through -- that they won't ever quite escape (I also love the thought of Charlotte skipping to other timelines instead of the past in 5x05).

This is so sweet and lovely and so very them. And yet there's something bittersweet about it, like catching a glimpse of some wonderful "might have been".

Thanks so much -- "bittersweet" is the perfect word for what I was trying to reach here. Partly because, well, that's how I role, and partly because I didn't want to write something any ripe for fluff as a proposal as straight smooshy-ness. ;D
