New Location & Continuation of Fic

Hello everyone,

Given all of the changes here on LJ and how advertising heavy it's gotten and all, I have backed up all of my Numb3rs fan fiction on AO3 as well as FanFiction.Net.

So please go there if you want easier access to my fic. It is also where I shall be posting any further chapters if I continue any of my ongoing fics. I just don't like ( Read more... )

Thanks! I hope all is well with you. I am on AO3, but LJ is still my main fannish place.

All the best

Yes, I am well. I've been slowly migrating all of old fic to AO3 and doing so with Mirror seems to have provided me with inspiration as I just finished chapter 27 and have started work on 28. Weird after so much time!

How are you?

I'm mostly OK, thanks. There have been a lot of ups and downs over the last few years, but I'm writing again, which is great!

Thaks for the update! When did you start posting Numb3rs fic to Ao3? Because I noticed I've been getting update alerts, and I don't remember subscribing to your fic. I was like, "when did she write Numb3rs fic- oh, wait- I think I've read some of this before on FFN!"

How does Ao3's uploading compare to FFN?

I haven't really finished that much fan fiction. Like, I have a ton of snippets and bits-n-pieces. But very few finished works. (I do have a Lilo & Stitch/ Numb3rs crossover, no really! It's almost done, I just never did the final editing on it.)

I have been working on a couple original works, and I'm actually thinking of posting those on Ao3, just to see what folks might say about the story. (I might only post like half of the original work, if I get enough people saying they'd be willing to pay to read the rest.)

Anyway, I have subscribed. Now I've got to go refresh my memory as to what other fandoms you write about.

Somewhere last year I think. I've been writing in the Marvel fandom for a bit (not much is posted yet as I've learned my lesson on finish fic first!) and it prompted me to move to AO3, when I did so it seemed like such a good platform which made downloading the fic easy, so I decided to move across. That way people can more easily safe the fic if they want to.

I find it a lot easier as I can add in all the line breaks I want, something which FF.N makes quite hard these days. The general formatting is also easier.

Lol, oh trust me, my started folder for fics in each fandom is huge! Or my ideas folders.

It's a good way to get feedback, but I would warn people ahead of time the full thing might not be made available there as otherwise some people might get angry and just give up on your stuff. If they're warned then they know. Or you can do one complete one and ask and then do the rest elsewhere.

Thanks! And it's Star Wars, Harry Potter, Numb3rs and now Marvel.
