Nanowrimo was a bust. But it did teach me something, which is that I still enjoy writing, and I can still catch the writing wave and just go with it, even if what I churn out is pure drivel. I'm not giving up on my novel yet, it will just take me a little while

I love that you tried to do Nanowrimo, it's been a bust for me the past few times I've tried. I didn't have time this year, but I'm glad you tried your hand at it.
I too at my late age in life ;) am realizing there are still so many things I can and want to learn... I too am thinking of taking a sewing class or lessons as my mom is willing to lend her machine to me as I also expressed an interest in sewing and quilting recently. I scrapbook, stamp and make cards, I've been painting with my niece, and I've always beaded. My boyfriend and I started going to aquafit together about a month ago, which is awesome! So I'm feeling great about not wasting life away when I'm not at work...
