I love Emily as well and reread it often. ANne's actually more of the books that I "grew up with". Anne of Avonlea was my favorite during high school, Anne of the Island fit with college, Anne of Windy Populars was those first year out when I was first working. I just haven't been relating to the other ones for a bit!

I grew up on Anne too (and discovered those when much younger). I particularly identified with AotI during college - but I never thought myself much like Anne herself. I didn't love her the less for being so sunshiney and wonderful, but I sympathized more with Emily's many flaws.

Well, if you start cranking out kids, you can get back in pace with Anne ;) Right now you're more in tune with Gilbert - though your type of medical practice is just a leetle bit different!

The only fictional character's birthday that I can remember offhand is Harry Potter's, and I only know that one because four of my friends were born on that same day.
