Seeing this has put me in the mood to reread Montgomery's Emily trilogy. I used to read them every year, since about the age of twelve, always finding something new to appreciate since each year the section where Emily was my age became special to me. At fourteen I thought it a remarkable thing that I too had a best friend with fluffy blonde hair who liked to fight a lot. At fifteen I considered writing a letter "to myself at twenty-five". At twenty-one I marveled at all the marriage proposals Emily had received, when I still felt like a baby myself. The past few years I haven't been reading it because Emily, at my advanced age, is a lonely depressed writer/spinster. Some things hit too close to home ;) But hey, it does make me appreciate the upside of not being in love; I don't hate the sight of any star in the sky! Really must reread these soon. Perhaps after I reread Half-Blood Prince.

I hope someone puts "Windy Little Girl Emily" on the web with English subtitles, because it looks very cute. And I hope they do better than whoever subtitled the opening credits sequence!
