This was my wish. And it didn't come true. So I'm taking it back. I'm taking them all back!

Last night was fun! I've never much cared for the holiday since I got too old to trick-or-treat, because no kids come to our house so the replacement pleasure of becoming candy-giver wasn't an option for me. And also, it's a holiday like New Years where plans seem to fall through more often than they work out. But last night I got to give out ( Read more... )

holidays, friends, veronica mars

Francis Capra was so sexy when he was all muscly and bikerish. Puffy, lumpy and wearing a janitor's jumpsuit... that is just so wrong. Poor guy.

My brother has Season 2 but he's all done watching it, so you can have it as soon as I get it back from him. Which should hopefully be Friday or Saturday.

Well then I may have to drive down and see you all on Saturday...the dreaded language exam is tomorrow so I'm thinking that that is probably out for a small road trip.

I could not, seriously, believe how dreadful and diseased Weevil looks. And I love Weevil ( ... )

You're not old, you're too young! I didn't know who they were either, but iresprite told me they were Jughead and Veronica. Honestly, they only reason I knew there was a Veronica in the Archie comics was because I googled "Betty and Veronica" after seeing that episode. Anyway, I guess they looked like this, so I'm not sure Logan's wig was on the money (though with it on, he looked like he should be in Timmy's band ( ... )

Yep. That would help. She's not a big one to hold off on the accusations, though.

I'm pretty sure the linebacker was the second episode - the sociology experiment being the 3rd, and then the last two being the Halloween related ones.

And, okay, Jughead and Veronica. Okay. Logan's wig was incredibly rock-musician like, or styled to be so.

And yeah - now you have to doubt all of Claire's story if she's going to lie about that.

Okay, one of the best cameos ever - the deadbeat Dad was played by none other than Richard Grieco, who was (for some reason that has always escaped me) a teen heart throb in the 80s. I had no idea he still acted. I'll tell you why I find this particularly delightful. Do you remember Jonathan Taylor Thomas's guest spot as an undercover cop, and how Logan called him Jump Street after punching him (but before making out with Veronica) - a reference to an 80s tv show about undercover cops posing as teens? A program which showcased the talents of - you guessed it - Richard Grieco. (Oh, and also a young up and comer by the name of Johnny Depp.) GOD, I love this show.

Also, wasn't it outstanding to see Cliff again? One of the all time greats.

Didja tape it for me? Hmm? HMMMM? My project sucks. Check out the weird angel thing I am currently analyzing. Blech!

Anyway, Moira burbled to me this morning that she had a wonderful time in her ladybug costume with her Auntie C!

And I picked out your Goonies-quote subject line right away!

Okay, what is the name of the movie Sean Astin was in where he was in a school for troubled rich kids that got taken over by terrorists?

Yes, of course I taped it for you! Want me to drop the tape off at your house?

I knew Moira was having a great time - I can read drool patterns like tea leaves.

But I have no idea what Sean Astin movie you're talking about. The weirdest thing I've seen him in was a movie version of "Harrison Bergeron". Josie Pye from the Anne of Green Gables movies costarred. You don't get much more surreal than that.

Did I mention that this Harrison Bergeron movie also has EUGENE LEVY in it? And Hayden Christensen and Christopher Plummer? And that it was made for TV and is actually kind of terrible?
