It seems that I might have made a mistake with my last post. If it was just the screen text it would be easy to believe it was a simple mistake. It seems now that there were other repeated mislabellings, including if I read it correctly, voiced directly by program participants. The only comment I want to make about this is that you have to remember that the currently controlling faction of the Republican party *bases its platform* on the notion of "Christian *cough* Moral Values." The reason I find the comparison to "whatever the democrats did" so irrelevant (at best) is that frankly, the democrats *simply don't care* who anyone has sex with, certainly not enough to make it a kind of national campaign platform. The reason why this is just so offensive (other than whatever you may feel about what actually happened) is that it's so hypocritical to *stated (and many times rammed down the throat of all America) core party positions*.

If there's a republican scandal involving money or power (as jmaynard pointed out yesterday) my only response is generally "and so?", much like sex or drugs with democrats. But when the situation reverses itself along party lines *then* people notice and become seriously offended.

(reminder- I am not a democrat.)

I'm just disgusted that ownership of Congress may swing based on this event instead of something important.
