A Quarter of Your Kingdom (Part 2)

Continued from here.

He was half through the door, a row of curses on his lips that would have made even Owen and Gwen blush, when he noticed that the lights were on the in the bathroom. Jack found the Doctor sitting on the cover of the toilet, picking at the stitches that held closed one particularly nasty gash in his arm. The door flew open so ( Read more... )

This is gorgeous and a lovely surprise :D

I love all of the domestic moments, the action and the angst. And Owen! You write a lovely Owen.

and Owen. Don't really like Torchwood, but love Owen. Too bad he's the only one of them who wasn't in Who. I loved that "I am the doctor here" vibe.

Owen is surprisingly fun to write.

Lovely fic, once more but I expected nothing less from you. :)

I really loved this part:
Now they were sitting, they looked exhausted, both of them. The Doctor slumped against Jack, who kissed the top of his head while letting it rest on his shoulder. Sitting there with their legs dangling above the ground, they looked like children rather than heroes.
Such a beautiful image.

"Jack found the Doctor sitting on the cover of the toilet, picking at the stitches that held closed one particularly nasty gash in his arm."
The Doctor can't be trusted to take care of himself, can he?

Thank you once again!
To be fair, stitches itch. And it's so hard to resist the urge to pick at something that seems to be just there for the picking.

*sighs happily*

I must admit I had high hopes when I made offered this prompt, and you, as always, delivered even more than I expected.

Let me point out some of my favorite lines: “I am not going to undress in your…” The Doctor stopped, and turned to take a look around their fake tourist information centre. “People are actually falling for this?” he asked in obvious amazement.

Well said, Doctor! Seriously, the tourist office is about as bad as having Torchwood on the side of the SUV.

And my absolute favorite fluffy part that I know you wrote just for me: He took the Doctor’s hand when they walked down the road to where the TARDIS was waiting for them. Not because he was scared of losing him. Not because the Doctor looked exhausted and Jack wanted to support him.

Just because he could.

Perfect! Again, thank you so much! :D *mems*

ETA: One more thing I should have caught when I was doing the beta job: The last section of the story - half a minute late her hung up on a very agitated Owenhalf a minute later he ( ... )

The title is good, isn't it? I'm very happy with the title!

And I corrected the typo, thanks.

You know I'm always happy to deliver stories for you!

Careful! Don't strangle it!

I'm tired, but this time because I had to get up early, and will again tomorrow. Talking to friend on phone killed creative activities. Fail.
But the picture is making progress. I need a new fic to write, though. Ideas flee me.

Jack found the Doctor sitting on the cover of the toilet, picking at the stitches...

Rose still has stitches in her butt from the biopsy. She hasn't messed with them, thank god, but I had a sudden (and unwanted) image of the Doctor in an E-collar :P (The veterinary kind, not the one in "Shakespeare Code.")

“The last time I checked, the TV didn’t have internet access,” Jack noted. The Doctor grinned at him.

“You can surf using the remote control.”

I WANT THAT! (Send the Doctor over when he's feeling better?)

The Doctor gives Jack sweet dreams when they're together. Literally. Awwwwww :)

Hell, he had to interfere if danger threatened a hamster!

And now I want a picture of Ten with a hamster. Can you do it, or should I ask yoshiyuki_est? :D

And more great illustrations. The last one blew me away. Seriously.

Thank you so much!
Well, tha hamster... I don't have a scanner here, but I might actually try. You should still ask yoshiyuki, who's the better artist.

I have a lot of silly hamster-images in my head, all of a sudden.

Time for the Hamster Series :) You can have a show!

You won't belive it, but I did some hamster sketched yesterday, Not that they are of any use, so far from the scanner.
But let me assure you, the Doctor loves his giant monster hamster.
