I freaking love it. The song, the clips, the show, you - there's a lot of love in my world right now.

It's awesome that you managed to locate an obscure song. I didn't have any preconceived notions when I started watching the video. After the scenery shots, when you started with Marty walking in with the team of officers behind him to the murder scene, I knew it was going to be a ride. Yes, it was a character driven video, but as we discussed, that's the show. The plot was good (see also: a convoluted mess that drags you along for the crazy ride), but it was the characters that made the show what it was.

Also, even I'm rewatching it for the sixth time, I'm still noticing little techniques and images I didn't see when I watched it prior. It's an onion. It has layers. XD

Thank you so much for making this. It was a labor of love and it shows. This is the first True Detective video I've seen, and even if it's the last, I feel like it more than satisfied the need.

Thank you so much for your comment and your support!

Heh. That's exactly the reason why I didn't tell you what song I was using before. Even though on numerous occassions I wanted to throw it at you screaming LOOK AT THIS SONG! ISN'T IT PERFECT?!?!

I'm still noticing little techniques and images I didn't see when I watched it prior. It's an onion. It has layers. XDLOL. I can promise you, too, that every last image and clip has landed where it is on purpose. Half the work time goes into editing and half goes into finding the perfect frigging clip for whatever happens to be the line or transition right now ( ... )
