Earthquake in Tohoku Region - Personal Status Update

Just as a general FYI, Friend and I are alive and well. We didn't even learn about the earthquake until two hours after. We're in Kumamoto at the moment, on the west side of Kyûshû, which is pretty far away and only has a very weak Tsunami warning ( Read more... )

Yeah, I've seen that a lot of Pacific nations are nervous about the tsunami. I hope they don't reach that far.

I hope so, too. Most of them have already let us know they're fine, but we're worried about a friend on Hokkaido and her kids.
