Earthquake in Tohoku Region - Personal Status Update
Just as a general FYI, Friend and I are alive and well. We didn't even learn about the earthquake until two hours after. We're in Kumamoto at the moment, on the west side of Kyûshû, which is pretty far away and only has a very weak Tsunami warning.
We have friends all over Japan, though, since we're travelling so much. None of them are living directly at the coasts in question, still we have a lot of concerned eMails to send right now. And calm our frantic grandmothers.
