Please work. [One final button sound, although her voice is pretty calm she sounds terribly worried and a bit panicked about something. Her voice trails off every now and then ]

[Gasps, then is silent for a moment before he gets up the courage to speak.]

[She nods but about mid nod she completely freezes a moment with no other responses. After the initial shock though she just holds her head with her other hand a moment]

[Immediately frowns when she pauses, his eyebrows drawing together, but he picks her up in his arms and spreads his wings before jumping into the air and flying back in the direction of the Opera. After a moment or two, he clears his throat.]

[She doesn't answer right away, simply looks away a moment. She really doesn't want him to worry. But yeah, Pandemonium says 'Hi'. She looks back to him though.]

No, it wasn't a vision. Are you worried?

[He considers lying to her for a brief moment, but decides against it--he doesn't want to when she just arrived, and it's probably written all over his face, anyway.]

Yeah. A little. ...But, we'll figure out a way to stop it this time. There's a lot of people here with a lot of different skills and powers. Maybe one of them will be able to help you.

There does seem to be so many people here. But I suppose cities are often like that. A lot of people seem to know you, though. I was a bit surprised.

Really? Well...Rosette was here before I was, so I met a lot of people because they knew her. And I've been here for...I think nine months now, so I've gotten to know quite a few people around town. And there's a lot of people that live in the same building, too. So...[pauses, then smiles warmly] Yeah, I guess I do know a lot of people here. ...A lot of friends.

I'm happy for you. Oh, but who's Rosette? And what about Aion and the others..?

Oh...[Blushes even more at the mention of Rosette--not to mention her laugh.]

Rosette's my partner. ...Er, no, let me explain that better. About five years ago, give or take a few months, I joined the Magdalan Order--the one that used to guard you. It's...sort of a long story how that happened, but I met her when she was a kid, and when she became a nun, I became her assistant. We've been together ever since, so I guess she's sort of like family to me.

Should I tell her...that we're dating? Or should I wait for that? ...Who am I kidding, she probably wouldn't even care. Right?

[His mood visibly darkens when Aion is mentioned, and his grip on her gets a little tighter. He couldn't help but remember Aion's mocking words: I should've beheaded you both...]

Aion's...after you and I left, I didn't see him or the other Sinners for a while. Except for when you died. About fifty years. He showed up after that and...

[His voice takes on just a bit of an edge to it. Yes, there's definitely a grudge there.] He was part of the reason I joined the Order. Rosette's brother, Joshua, has holy powers--sort of like you--and Aion needed him for some plan, so he took him. We only just recently got him back. ...I don't know exactly what Aion's planning, but it doesn't seem to be good. Aion came here too, a few months ago, and he's caused a lot of trouble. ...We actually fought a week or so ago. He nearly killed Rosette. I've had to lock him up and take care of him to make sure he doesn't hurt anyone ( ... )

[She hears him out entirely. Happy for him and Rosette but a bit past concerned about Aion. She nods slowly, at least showing she understands what the threat may be.]

Rosette sounds nice, I'd like to meet her since she's a good friend of your's.

[He's obviously mad so Mary won't touch on there much longer.] What about Viede and Shader?

She lives with us at the Opera, so you'll be able to meet her. Joshua is there, too--and another girl that I work with at the Order, Azmaria. You'll like her, she's a real sweetie. Well, I think you'll like them all.

[He sighs softly. He always liked Viede and Shader--particularly Shader--a little more than the other two sinners, but...]

I saw Shader once, right after we left. She didn't say much--or really anything. She just gave me a gift and I ran off went away. Viede I haven't seen or heard from since I left.
