So, I've finally gotten into Firefly, right? I think I'm one of the last few people on the planet. It's actually turning out to be pretty good, though I had some issues with it at first (Horses are the primary mode of transportation on foreign planets? And all this advanced terraforming technology turned every planet into a desert? Come on, people

I'm a relatively recent Firefly watcher, too :)

Zac Efron?? No way... must go back and rewatch that episode.

The horses and deserts don't bother me so much because I tend to see it as way more of a western than a sci-fi series.

I love all the characters so hard. I figured they'd given Jayne the name they gave him on purpose :/ I do adore Jayne and Simon (my favourite episode is probably Jaynestown), but I think Wash might be my favourite ever :D

I was totally waiting for River to develop superpowers the whole time, too. Wait till you get to the movie. :P

Yeah, I think that's what they were going for (the whole western feel), but it still bothered me. It's like, I understand you're trying to push this metaphor thing, but come on, horses??

Ah, yes, Jaynestown is amazing. It's one of my favorites, though it kinda had a non-ending. They were like, trying to make an important statement about life and hope and all, and then they just seemed to give up. But Wash is definitely the greatest. I just finished watching War Stories, and he was all cute and jealous, as though there weren't enough reasons to love him already. :D
