Firefly
So, I've finally gotten into Firefly, right? I think I'm one of the last few people on the planet. It's actually turning out to be pretty good, though I had some issues with it at first (Horses are the primary mode of transportation on foreign planets? And all this advanced terraforming technology turned every planet into a desert? Come on, people.).
Anyway, the episode with Mal's wife was hilarious, and I <3 Jayne and Simon. Although I don't think someone thought through the fact that they named their tough-guy character a homonym for "Jane." But he's still fun, especially when drugged. And I love Simon's desperate/crazy face, which he seems to get to use a lot.
But, am I the only one who keeps waiting for River to develop some super-powers, here? I mean, she's read people's minds and sorta almost kinda told the future a couple of times, but I wanna see her start teleporting people or doling out some useful stock tips or something, here. I probably won't get that, though. : \
Also, I completely missed Zac Efron as young Simon. When I realized it, I was all, "No way, I would've seen that, surely!" and then I went back and re-watched it and it was totally him. Who knew he was actually talented before Disney fed his ego and ate his soul.
ETA: I forgot to say two important things! !) I think Kaylee exists only to be hated. Seriously, why is she there? 2) I love Wash. I don't really like his wife (What's her name? Zoe? I wanna say Zoe), but he's awesome. :D
