Been an enjoyably active weekend so far. On Friday, I escaped work and saw Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead at The Studio Theater. Oh my! Now that I know about Ganguro and Yamanba, I wish I had been able to write a paper on it sometime while at UVa. At least I would enjoy reading different perspectives on its social roots and implications on identity, escapism and exhibitionism in Japan.
