Miss Kitty had an interesting sermon a few months ago suggesting that Martin Luther King, Jr., deliberately walked away from his own theological skepticism because he knew it would make him a less effective preacher mobilizing his constituents and the world in the cause of civil rights.

Good reference. I knew about Martin Luther King, Jr.'s story. We need to make UU more relevant, though I'm not sure how to do it. Rev. John Crestwell is sure trying - he's a young UU MLK. :-)

Also, I would love to have my congregation do the right relations covenant. It's a great idea!
