Header Challenge 2
I've decided against a theme for the header challenge. Especially since Challenge 22 seems so complicated, but really it's not. :)
HEADER CHALLENGE 2
Please read the rules carefully.
+ You may make up to 2 headers
+ Headers should be no larger than 800 pixels wide by 300 pixels high.
Other examples of good header sizes: 700x200, 400x400, 600x300, etc.
+ Please use only stock photography in your headers.
+ Blending graphics is perfectly fine.
+ You may use any text, brushes, textures, gradients, light textures, masks, etc. that you think compliment your headers.
+ No Animation
+ The name of the community must be somewhere on the header.
Examples of good text for the header would be: Useful Icons, useful_icons at LiveJournal, a stock photography icontest community.
+ You do not have to code a layout. Just make a header.
Submitting your headers
Please submit your headers in a comment to this entry. You may submit them in separate comments at separate times or both together. It doesn't matter.
Please do not post your header in your comment Provide a link to your headers. That's all you have to do.

SOME HELPFUL INFORMATION
EDIT: Link to header tutorials has been fixed.
So you have no idea what to put on the headers. You're not sure. You need some ideas.
Anything really: Flowers, Mountains with lakes, trees, waterfalls, rocks, ocean, beach, landscapes, seasonal landscapes, butterflies, birds, city scapes, castles, beach houses, etc. or any combination of the above or whatever you come up with.
Where can I get graphics?
Stock Photography Web Sites: You need big graphics for headers. Getty Images is not ideal
stock.xchng has the best size stock photography graphics (for free) I have been able to find. You need to register at the web site, but it is free and totally worth it. The graphics there are HUGE!
If you are already registered there click on this link then click on the picture there. You will have to sign in then it will open a new window with a huge version of that graphic. Oooooooooh, pretty.

Not sure how to make large graphics like headers
myrasis has gathered together a bunch of tutorials on how to make large graphics. You can find it HERE. Even though all these graphics have people in them you can still use some of the techniques used in them to make headers from stock photography.
Where can I get brushes and textures for large graphics?
Check the usual brush communities on LiveJournal. A lot of people post textures and brushes for headers and wallpapers. I will try, within the next week, to create a list for you all of places to get brushes and textures.

You might even find reference to some brushes and textures in the large graphics tutorials.
