[[When the video feed flicks on, Johto is greeted by a very confused looking Rose. Or not so much confused, but a mixture of that and curious. She sets the gear down, then moves to hold up an egg. A dratini egg, to be precise, with a lovely lavender bow on it.]]Would anyone happen to be willing to tell me who

CTA: we d0n't need a leader that isn't KK.

CTT: I would prefer that we are able to come to agreements on such matters as a group effort in his absence, rather than relying solely on a leader.
CTT: Not only would that hopefully put the issue of whether or not someone should lead in Karkat's stead aside, but once Karkat returns, it would likely make things much easier on him as well, since I know he will want to be leader again.
CTT: And this was...honestly quite stressful on him having to do much of this alone.
CTT: Having the ability to ask his group and receive civil answers would be nice, I'm sure.
CTT: I am still asking, however, mostly to insure the comfort levels of our teammates.
CTT: I would rather we not dissolve into arguments, confusion and fights because there is no one willing to handle everyone if necessary, or if desired...

CTA: everything will dev0lve int0 arguments, c0nfusi0n, and fights just because we all exist t0gether. that's h0w things w0rk. asking f0r them t0 n0t w0rk that way is just retarded.
CTA: civil answers aren't really g0ing t0 be p0ssible, either. s0 i think y0u're being h0pelessly 0ptimistic here.
CTA: if every0ne else thinks we need a leader, d0n't expect me t0 listen t0 them.
CTA: my v0te g0es t0 y0u th0ugh.

CTT: But for once that is really the only way I know how to approach a situation.
CTT: Though I will not be surprised if it does end in arguments, confusion and fights anyway, at least.
CTT: I had a feeling you would say that.
CTT: I will not expect anything of anyone, honestly.
CTT: I hadn't expected anyone to listen to Karkat, as much as I hoped they would.
CTT: I'm pleased that I was wrong on that matter.
CTT: ...
CTT: Thank you for your vote of confidence, Sollux.

CEB: really, this leader stuff again?
CEB: i still stand by what i said the other day.
CEB: i don't think we need one.
CEB: what's wrong with collective group effort?
CEB: also, two other things.
CEB: one: eridan wants to apologize to you for the stuff he said the other day.
CEB: but you blocked him so he asked me to tell you that.
CEB: and two: are you not locking your doors or something?
Reply
CTT: That is honestly my preferred outcome for this.
CTT: However, if it is a concern, it needs to be addressed and handled.
CTT: And if the majority of the group feels a leader is needed, then that is a matter which needs to be attended to.
CTT: One: Really?
CTT: Did he write a me a letter, or simply request that you tell me "I'm sorry" for him?
CTT: Because it will take more than that to make up for what he said.
CTT: And two: I assure you, my doors remained locked.
CTT: Hence my concern.

CEB: i guess.
CEB: all he told me was that he tried to send you a message but that it wouldn't go through.
CEB: THEN he told me to tell you for him.
CEB: i told him that it likely wouldn't be enough, but he told me to tell you anyway.
CEB: he also promised that he would leave you alone and stop calling you a witch.
CEB: and that's...worrisome.

CTT: And yes, it is.

CTG: oh you know my opinion
CTG: i think captain ampora would make a great leader
CTG: gonna follow that motherfucker to the ends of the earth
CTG: no but seriously
CTG: traveling in a huge group is gonna be hard
CTG: no clue how well its worked for you guys in the past though
CTG: and im pretty sure i dont actually need to tell you where my vote for leader goes if we all stick together

CTT: It worked fairly well, save for a few kinks, such as when Gamzee became sober and decided it was a lovely idea to hunt us all.
CTT: We attempted to split the group between Azalea and Goldenrod, which went relatively well until "Captain Ampora" decided to leave for Goldenrod without word to their appointed leader, and without an okay.
CTT: And I am going to go out on a limb and say John?
CTT: You know he won't accept the position, Dave.

CTG: doesnt change the fact that hed be better at it than the rest of these douchebags
CTG: lets face it i dont know most of the rest of them well enough to say
Reply
CTT: And yes, I am aware you don't.
CTT: You of course did not have to voice an opinion either way.
CTT: Though I am sure John will be oh so please with your public vote.

you were pretty good at it.

Thank you Soul.
I'm unsure as to if I would or would not.
I think I would prefer to wait until I've the opinions of everyone on the matter before considering it.
Three believe we don't need leaders, yourself included.
One doesn't wish to have a leader other than Karkat, though at least gives me their vote of confidence.
One has agreed to listen to Eridan.
Dave wants John, though I doubt John will be easily coerced, if we're able to o that at all...
I don't know.

And yes, just a little. I have to question how they managed. I have not only locks, but a roommate...

Doesn't your roommate leave the place too sometimes?

Perhaps yours has a special way of expressing affection? After all, children tend to pick and tease the kids they have crushes on in school.
[[Chuckling, she shakes her head.]]
Honestly, I'm not sure. I'm gone most of the day, and he's blind. I wouldn't expect him to leave often, but then I really don't know. He's fairly capable, so I wouldn't be surprised if he does.
