[Before anything else, there's a tapping sound. A constant rapping, directly against against the microphone. After a minute, it stops and the voice behind that tapping starts to speak;]

No one knows how we got here, and whatever caused it must be ongoing because people still arrive and leave just as mysteriously.

And that animal is called a "pokemon" apparently. You're more or less required to use them to fend off the wild pokemon. And any weapons or powers you had before for fighting, won't cut it. Just the pokemon. It's a deranged setup.
