[Before anything else, there's a tapping sound. A constant rapping, directly against against the microphone. After a minute, it stops and the voice behind that tapping starts to speak;]

I guess that light means it’s on, right? These instructions aren’t exactly the most helpful ones I’ve ever seen! Well, I’ll speak on the assumption that someone can hear this~
Either way, it seems I’ve been separated from my companions. It’s happened once or twice before, but it’s not very common, so perhaps using these things, someone can help me find their whereabouts?
I've had a bit of time to acclimate a bit to my surroundings and this very cute little creature! [As he says that, a chip of "Vulpix, Vul!" can be heard in the background. Fay lets out a small laugh, then continues.] Any help that can be given would be greatly appreciated - I haven't run into anyone yet who's given me a direct answer.
