[He's not sure what he was expecting, but when the button press abruptly reveals a blue, bi-pedal turtle that promptly greets him with a cheery 'Squirrr!', he's pretty sure that wasn't it.]
[The creature gets a slightly puzzled look from Kurogane. It's... weird. Weirder than the multi-tailed fox that Fai has.]

[After a moment, Fay pulls out his Pokédex, remembering that he used it to figure out what Clover was. He fiddles with it for a second, trying to remember exactly how it works. And then! "Squirtle, the tiny turtle Pokémon. The shell is soft when it is born. It soon becomes so resilient, prodding fingers will bounce off it." Fay nods his head. Clover backs up, hiding between Fay's legs. He looks down curiously, then back at the dex before chucking.]
I see! It's okay, Clover-chan! Even if it's a water-type, it's Kuro-pii's Pokémon, so it won't hurt you!

According to this thing, yes~ [He holds up the Pokédex and waves it a little.] I can't say I really understand how it works for Pokémon, but I could see how fire power would have a weakness to water power!
