Death and the futility of relationships, what a chipper chapter. XD I don't know what to think of Gwen in this. I think it's a little... Hm, rude? To tell her story like that and then start expecting Ianto to make her feel better about her life choice? It's like she needs Ianto to agree or her decision wasn't the right one.

<3Tosh<3, <3Owen<3. I hate that they didn't...well, find each other, and it's sad that they both sorta lost out on what they wanted.

You know, with Ianto and Jack disappearing outside all the time, someone's going to think they hate their traveling companions. XD

I really like Alisoun, lol. She's nice.

Thank you. I know - it's all death and futility around here! :) I tried really hard to show both the side of Gwen that I like and sympathize with and the side that annoys me at times.

The more of this fic I completed, the more I missed Tosh and Owen. I know I'm really going to miss them during season 3.

She is so much fun. I have really enjoyed reading back over her prologue and tale and then imagining how she would react to the members of Torchwood. She's so alive as a character that it's easy to imagine her in different situations.

If I find it I will, but they don't have it at my local bookstores, I might check the library, see if they have a copy, I did look it up on Wiki, so I do know the basics (unless Wiki is inaccurate ?)

Firstly, nice to see this, I am so mad about it. It's totally absorbing.

Secondly I feel very guilty because your Gwen is very in character, and she annoyed the hell out of me in this. However she has said very similar things in canon, and if anything, it was really nice to have your Tosh challenge her. Also good for Ianto to point out that it's none of her business. Anyhow wonderful and I'm still enjoying this philosophical meandering.

Thank you! I tried very hard to do justice to Gwen - to show what I love about her character and yet also show the things that irritate me about her character. I guess I have Tosh challenge her on things because I like to think that she did the same in canon (only we never got to see it). I rewrote this chapter several times because of Gwen. I was trying hard to show everyone exhausted, a bit out of sorts, and just not understanding each others' point of view.
