I really, really loved "Up", and these were just as poignant as the movie was. I actually got a little teary-eyed reading the sentences.

Favorites:

He always believed that she was meant for better things…he just wished that he could go with her this time. This was so lovely and sad at the same time. <3

He watched in disbelief as Russell asked Ellie if he could keep the bird; not because the kid was trying to talk to his wife, but because Ellie actually would say yes, even though he already said no. So true, and I think you captured the essence of their relationship in just one sentence.
