I really should update this journal more often. But honestly, the reason I haven't is because there hasn't been much going on. I work, do stuff on the computer, hang out with siblings and friends, go to bed. That's pretty much all there is in my day. *shrugs* It's not very interesting, so I haven't had much to write about here ( Read more... )

writing, real life

Yeah, the FFN pic thing... I think I'm just going to let it show my default rose icon like it's doing. You can't enlarge the cover pic, so there's no point in drawing out a detailed cover (plus, you can't use a screencap instead without permission anyway...).

Exactly. It's too much of a hassle to search for a worthwhile picture and get permission to use it when it's only that big anyway. Like I said, the only reason I changed the picture from my user icon is because I didn't like having the icon cut off. It cut off the face and tail of my Usami icon, so it looked weird lol

How is AO3 to use?

You've pretty much summed up my thoughts on the whole FF.net Image feature thing. I guess it's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure how much use it's gonna get from me. I haven't even bothered with it. A feature I'd like to see is something that would allow you to see everybody who's subscribed to your communities.

I think that if using one image for all your fics works out the easiest for you, then you should do it. And if you can get some cover art for a certain one, then you could upload it.

It's not that bad, actually. You can do a little more with it than FF.net, I think. Even if I use the HTML setting, I can get my story in HTML format using FF.net, haha. I also like how you can list multiple characters on AO3, as opposed to the two character limit on FF.net. And I like the kudos feature, because I like being able to show that I did like the story somehow without words...if that makes any sense.

*nod nod* Yeah, I think that's pretty much all the Image feature is going to get from me. I think they started doing that because AO3 lets you have the ability to put an image in your story, so they're trying to compete.

I've seen the site before, and it looks interesting.

Don't worry, that makes sense. :D Those do sound like interesting features (don't really get why FF.net only you to list two characters -- I guess so pple don't overload the character lists with every single character in a show or whatever?).

Most likely.
