In real life, I did my first full day of work at the library today. And it didn't feel a thing like work. God I love the library. I shelved books for three hours, and then I helped out at the computer help desk until closing. I always loved working at the library. Its always been a safe and joyful place for me. All of that knowledge and all that fiction that can take you to different worlds and places.

Sadly the library fuding for OH libraries will be cut 40-50ish percent next year. They are trying to save money and of course they cut art/music programs at schools and at libraries.America Fail!

Hope you cheer up. Wish their was something I could say.I watched Four till doomsday today which cheered me up because davison was all high and squeaky.

Library funding has already been cut in half by the state, and further cuts are predicted. Its one of the reasons why the librarians are so happy to have the SWEP people working with them, because we're filling the holes left by the employee cutbacks, but since we're paid by a separate group/grant it's not like we're scabs taking away the jobs, since because of the cut backs there'd be no one in those jobs now no matter what.

I ♥ libraries. & bookshops.

To me, they are the only safe places in the world. They make me feel comforted, & being surrounded by knowledge & words always makes things better. Even if I don't read anything; just being in their physical presence is very healing for me.

O, I must sound like a twit. Um, I'm glad you're getting paid to be surrounded by books (YAY!) & I love you. & I'm sorry I've been an absent little cat lately; I really am. But you know you can always shake me if you want to talk, love. ♥♥♥

(I wish I could be happy right now too. Lots.)

You don't sound like a twit at all. You're preaching to the choir, lovely! I feel the same way ♥ And I'm sorry I haven't been online much to talk lately, I've just been exhausted. I probably won't be on much until this math class is over, so even though I'll try to get on as soon as possible, don't expect to see me regularly until after the 13th of August. I wouldn't even be on now except that I can use the computer at the tech desk when I'm not busy, but not for aim or the likes.
