In Real Life

Jul 11, 2009 02:22

In real life, I did my first full day of work at the library today. And it didn't feel a thing like work. God I love the library. I shelved books for three hours, and then I helped out at the computer help desk until closing. It's not that it's easy, because I can see how some people might find it hard or boring, but that I genuinely enjoy it. In a life filled with anxieties, dangers, homelessness, helplessness and fear, The Library has always been an institution of learning and safety for me, and I feel as at home in any library as I do in my own bedroom. It's a comfort. And hell, I get paid for it.

School is tough. I think I did well on my test, but who knows, maybe I didn't, how would I know when I believe I actually gave the right answers?

Bellydancing is going well. Trying to teach myself through videos is difficult, but it's exercise at the very least, and free.

I want...well, I want so very much to be happy right now.

library, life, work
