Peace signs don't quite do it for me

Recently each time there's a spate of tragedies in the news (constantly, but they seem to come in pulses) I've been thinking of this bumper sticker. Only it doesn't exist. But it will soon, since I had it made. Let me know if you're interested in one, maybe we can do a trade or arrange a donation to a charity I like

Sort of apolitical isn't it? I mean, that's fine if you ARE apolitical, but people who see political causes (and even potential solutions) to the problems in the world aren't going to have any time for that slogan. It has the ring of "one side is as bad as the other" to it, when usually that is not the case.

It verges on apolitical, except that there are people out there who don't recognize their opponents and/or enemies as human beings. Just recognizing all people as human is unfortunately a political act.

That's very true actually. Dehumanising your enemy is essential in all of the world's worst conflicts.

I'd totally take one. Going to put it in my office so students see it. Apolitical or not, at least it's not apathetic.
