Hey everyone! Since I've used up my LJ scrapbook storage, and lost my photo manipulating software, I have less control over the size of my photos. I could make an effort to ensmallen them somehow, if it's annoying to see giant pictures on your friends' page. I'm not even sure if they aren't so big that they throw off the dimensions of the page for ( Read more... )

Have you considered Flickr, or another photo-hosting site?

The set of spiderwort pictures weren't too big for me. You might consider using a cut tag if you have lots of images. If you're interested in free photo-editing software, there are a few good options with varying levels of complexity, including Picasa, Gimp, and Irfanview (shareware free for non-commercial use).

I like the big pics. The ones you've been posting haven't blown out my friends list... but I am one voice amongst many and am happy to go with whatever.

New person here! How d'you do?

I'm really enjoying your pics - I'm fine with big ones, but perhaps put them behind a cut tag. That would solve the "blowing up the friends page" problem.

Ahoy! Better, thanks.

Are they blowing up your friends page? My general rule is if the post has more than 3 pics to put all but the first behind a cut. I used to put just the first before the cut, but I came to believe that no one really cared, and that I could get away with more. Now with the bigguns I'm not sure.
