Bird Watch - west Baltimore

I was sitting on my porch surveying my urban garden when I heard a ruckus in the trees. It was, as expected from last week's experiences, Starlings mating. Luckily I had my camera on hand! If you look closely you can see her head below his. It was over after about 30 seconds and the male flew off while the female remained on her branch and preened

I was fortunate enough to know where it was headed so I was able to frame everything up and just wait for it to get comfortable with my presence.

turkey vulture? we saw a bunch of them just hanging out in the woods yesterday - neat birds.
