This is absolutely beautiful, dear. I was expecting them to have sex but I'm glad they didn't; Mulder knew what she needed without expecting anything back in return (at least on this particular occasion). Perfect post-ep story for (as I've already told you) one of my favorite episodes!

Aww... I'm glad you like that line. I had to share it over chat with someone as I wrote it. It makes me imagine, too... I love when fiction leaves the door open to such speculation, and figured it works especially well for the feeling of restlessness I hoped to inspire.

This is the first time I've written them having sexy tiems out of canon, and I really wanted to play around with what exactly they did. I mean, they didn't even kiss on the lips... Mulder never got his pants off... Again, I hoped to serve the "unrest" even while giving Scully hers. Glad you liked it!

Very lovely piece! I must admit that I love your having Scully focus on Mulder's hands and fingers, simply because I have such a thing for those hands. ;) I especially liked this quote:

Mulder stayed low, followed the touch of her finger tips with a look that had forgotten concern, was losing professionalism, was transmuting compassion into something else.
It's a line that moves and communicates so much, if you know what I mean. I love when language flows like that.

Oh, I adore hands (Mulder's are particularly fine)... always my favorite thing to focus on when guiding la porn.

I hope I do know what you mean... My fic can sometimes run to the hyperbolic or over-flowered, but I think it comes off best when it flows like that.
