Childress, TX - A funny thing happened on the way to Las Vegas. The new car has it's first ding. In fact it now has several dings, a few out right dents and a cracked windshield. Tornadic thunderstorms loaded with hail caught me just outside of Ft. Worth just after dinner with my son

That is the biggest hail I've ever seen. Damn. We've had a couple bad hailstorms around here, but it was smaller caliber; the last one stripped paint off our shed and carriage house. Both times, we've run out to put blankets over the cars. I wouldn't attempt that with those baseballs raining down, though...
