i'm a doormat too - and i think people tend to stop trying to get to know their friends. does that sound weird? people stop delving into the soul of someone else as soon as they've become comfortable. and sometimes, we end up not knowing the people we think we know best, at all :[
and as for little things making your day - TELL ME ABOUT IT!! i write about it all the time in my journal!

That's so true...and so terrible, how that works. I hate it. I guess thats where the thrill of making new friends comes from, you have this "curiosity" to get to know them, as opposed to people you've been around with for ages.

People walk by and read the title of the book and make assumptions about the content.Ugh. >_< I feel you. I think you'll do better in college because the people there won't think they already know you in advance and will actually try to find out what you're about.
