I want something as coolly rational and finely crafted as Sherlock, and that's of course not what DW sets out to be...
I think this is my main issue with it. I want to look at details and pick shows apart, and you simply can't do that with Doctor Who. It doesn't mean it's bad, it's just not what I'm looking for most of the time. That said, I must say I've enjoyed broad strokes of this season with Peter Capaldi. I don't try to look at it too closely anymore, though. :)
I hope you can get your puppy! Sproodles are completely adorable; I love any poodle crossover. Those little poodle faces are completely precious. I've had a female Lhasapoo and a male Schnoodle, both of whom were lovely (though the Schnoodle was very territorial). :)
Yes, I'd have another Schnauzer in a heartbeat if Kili wasn't so territorial (sit down for ten minutes in a cafe and that's enough to make it His Table to be defended against all comers!) He's very friendly out and about provided we don't accidentally provide him with territory to defend and we manage to keep his barking at neighbours down to a manageable level but getting a second dog with the same innate tendency is not a sensible plan!
But still not hyper - not too high. Normal talkative :D
Are you still doing the diary? How's the word count? I am such a data person (my career's basically doing data stuff, so am a bit obsessed). I'm curious how the diary word count compares with blog word count :-)
I totes follow your reasoning about a new dog. You might think about finding an older (non-puppy, 1 to 3 yr old) dog too. Puppies are a ton of work! And they chew everything! In an older dog you'd be sure to know the personality you are getting too
