She padded alongside the bay, taking in the fresh air, the soft breeze. Not far away she picked up a familiar scent and lifted her head to see Silver, looking and sounding worse for wear. Blue ran along quickly, nudging her muzzle against his side with a worried whimper to see what had happened.
There was no one else around that she could sense... what did he do, then?

He didn't have much thought to devote to that, however; he was preoccupied with his injured hand. He squeezed his arm above the wrist - it wouldn't help with the pain, but it was a reflex and somehow it helped him think. There had to be someplace here that could help with this. If something here could bring people back from the dead, then they could fix this.
He hoped.
He shook his head again and turned back towards the compound. "Don't touch the things in the water." He wasn't sure the animal could understand him, but far as he could see, it was sound advice.

"What's wrong with things in the water?" Blue called to him. If Silver turned back around, he would see the human woman in place where the canine had been. She looked calm, and still her eyes shone with worry for his injury.

Between his thoughts and the pain, it took him a bit to process the question. "The blobs," he explained, a bit fragmented. "They...they sting. They did this." He gestured to his injured hand. A few tentacles that had been ripped from the creature when he'd blasted it off were still stuck to his fur and his skin, which was turning an angry red where the jellyfish had stung him.
