He wouldn't get what he wanted if they did.
The air he breathed tasted awful. If I could -- and yes, he could. Within a distance of five metres the air filled with the smell of cherry blossoms. Strong and lucid. He took a deep breath.
He wouldn't have to tell them. One had to keep an eye on their crystal anyway. And if they lost, well, he could them tell the sweetest of lies.
Seishirou smirked and waited for their arrival.

Flowers. He realized after a moment. Which was really odd and a quick look around proved that there indeed were no flowers to be seen. Only a teammate. Whom he greeted by cheerfully waving.
The challenge was simple and even fun in Russia's opinion but the only problem was that he wasn't quite sure how to deal with people that weren't countries or his people. And his entire team was composed of those. Though he wasn't going to complain. America was on the other team and that was enough for him to want to win this game no matter what.

Which she supposed meant she might as well at least go and see who the rest of her team actually was, wandering through the ruined city as if it was the most ordinary thing in the world. She couldn't care what it looked like, after all. It was just another part of the game.
It didn't take her long at all to find to find the rest of the group either, although she couldn't say she approved of the scent of flowers filling the air. It really didn't do much for the mood. A ruined city should smell like a ruined city.
"Mmmm~, is this all of us, then?" she asked when she drew near enough to be heard.

"It seems we are complete." He smiled, first at the lady, than at the man who had greeted him so enthusiastically. "I think I'll guard our crystal. I'm not that strong and I don't want to be in the way."
He hoped neither of the two were able to feel the stirring magic that had reappeared since he'd been dropped off on the airfield.

It was supposed to be simple. Silver's powers had returned to full strength (he hadn't realized just how much he missed them until he'd gotten them back), he knew who his teammates were (though he couldn't say he cared too much for the woman who lied to him), and he knew where he was supposed to go (to a point) and what he was supposed to do. He still didn't know why he was doing it or what was in it for the winning team, but he didn't see another choice.
Capture the crystals.
What he hadn't been prepared for was the arena itself. He opened his eyes-
And froze.
It couldn't be.
He looked around the arena, eyes wide with shock. As far as he could see, buidings were destroyed or close to it, and some of them still smoldered. The acrid, choking smell of burnt metal hung in the air, calling forth memories of a fiery demigod and a battle both won and lost.
He took a few steps backward in shock - there was no way - and stumbled over a fallen chunk of rock. He nearly wound up flat on his rear, but it snapped him ( ... )

"There's a free one in the center but everyone'll probably go to get that one," she continued. "But if we go after one of the already taken ones we might only have one person to fight off. Of course, we'll have to leave someone here to guard our crystal."
Her tone implied that she was not going to be the one left behind.
"But first things first, introductions! My name is Raspberyl."

Blue had been sniffing around the area, trying to get a feeling of what she had to deal with, even if she wasn't so sure about the whole thing in general. But, well, she was here now. There was no way to avoid it, really.
She rose her head when she realized that others of her 'team' were nearby now and came back to the starting area, appearing as a wolf only until she got near and then slipping over the human disguise. It made talking easier, at least.
They were talking over a strategy; she didn't know the female, but she had briefly spoken with the other. She could guard here, or she could easily get to one of the other crystals, probably. The problem was if there would be any fights... whether she'd want to or not.
"I'm Blue," she told them, straightening. "I can watch this crystal, if need be." Especially if that person was Almaz; how unfortunate that they were on separate teams, but she was familiar with his scent. That would help.

"You guard this one," he nodded to Blue, then turned to Raspberyl, " and if you think you can fight someone off by yourself, then go after one of the other team's crystals. I'll take the one in the center."

And so Blue remained on high alert - a lone figure standing mere feet from the crystal. She scanned the area every so often, and then would shift to face the other direction. But it wasn't so much her eyes she relied on, as her hearing and her sense of smell.
It would be hard to catch her by surprise. And to most who would approach? They would see just a human woman. She didn't quite trust everyone on the opposing team to not strongly fight - and so she decided it would be best to use her own surprise element: her true appearance.
She waited carefully.
