I need a running buddy, an engaging book-on-tape or a kick-my-ass pep talk. I've been trying to do a 14 miler since Sunday and I just can't bring myself to do it knowing I will be on the road for 3+ hours. I don't fear the run, I fear the boredom. Help!

I tried to pull a prop 8 sign out of the grass at Kips Korner public park tonight and it was covered in tar and accompanied with the sound of a gunshot. I had to drive home with my elbows and spent 20 minutes combing tar out of my hair.
