[There is a large black dog on his doorstep, looking no less dirty or mangy than the last time Remus saw him. If anything, his hair is even more matted. He'd left Buckbeak out a ways, hidden in a patch of trees while he came to the door, unsure of how he would be received and waits nervously on the doorstep.]

Thank you Remus. [He gives a faint smile, as if his face muscles forgot how to give that full-toothed smile he was famous for when he was younger.] Buckbeak shouldn't give you any trouble if I keep him tied up.

We were all looking everywhere except where we should have been. It... doesn't mean me believing that you were capable of doing that to James okay. I Know better. I've always known better.
