subs who do not have to be meek in order to be respectful. - Yes, this, so much! For one, meekness is kind of boring. For two... well, that stereotype is just stupid. I don't think there are any subs (or switches when being at the subby end of the spectrum) in our 'verse that could be described as 'meek' *thinks* ...no, none. Oh, they may beg, crawl, and kneel, but they all do that with a certain level of pride :D

I still think my favourite line in this is: He’s clearly somewhat nervous, but there’s a presence to him that has even some of the older and more experienced subs in the room giving him interested glances - not that Patrick seems to be noticing it. Oh, bb!top-Patrick!

Hee! bb!Dom-Patrick is indeed the most adorable ever. He will totally grow into an awesome Dom though. Just wait till we get around to writing some of the Patrick/Pete stuff...

Interesting! I read the intro but I keep forgetting who people are and their relationships so these mini introductions are a great way to get to know them!
