Unmarked Place Introduction Post
Welcome to Unmarked Place, a bandom BDSM ‘verse written by
kat_lair and
pushkin666.
Synopsis: The ‘verse spans a period of approximately six years and revolves around a BDSM club called Unmarked Place. The club is owned by Bob and Patrick, who also started the New Jersey Chapter of The Family, an international organisation of likeminded people involved in the BDSM scene that aims to provide safe places for play and punishment. People can either be born into the Family (like Spencer) or sponsored and mentored in (like Patrick). The ‘verse follows the evolution of various relationships (for full list of pairings see below) and includes love, sex, kink, angst, humour and eventual happy endings (because the authors are saps).

The pairings for individual stories vary and will be included in the header info. See also: pairing tags.

Kinks: If you are looking for a non-stop explosion of kinky porn, you will be disappointed. This is a story about how people go about their normal lives - work, play, love - within a context of BDSM relationships. The emphasis is on the negotiation and practice of d/s dynamics and power exchange rather than on sexual acts. Saying that, there will also be plenty of that so please heed the warnings See also: kink tags.
Kink disclaimer: This is not a ‘how-to’ manual to kinky sex. While the BDSM practices, techniques, relationships and dynamics described herein are realistic as far as possible and based on the authors’ personal views and experiences, as well as a good deal of research, they are used for fictional purposes. There are stories here that deal with what happens when people get it wrong, including descriptions of some unsafe practices. We hope it’s clear when that’s the case, but as a rule you should never use a piece of fiction as the sole guide on how to do things. Inspiration yes, go for it, but not as a guidebook. Finally, it is important to emphasise that the dynamics, relationships and the structured context of The Family as described here are only one way to ‘do BDSM’. We are not suggesting it’s the best way or that it would suit everyone.
General Disclaimer: This is not a story about real people, but about fictional representations of real people. Authors are fully aware of the distinction between the two. None of this is true, no disrespect is meant and no profit made.
Stories: You can find all the fics in the 'verse listed at the
