[027] Wonderful

Nov 30, 2010 20:16

Looking at all the, um, decorations and things reminds me why I'm glad I did all my Christmas shopping in June. Everything was so, um, peaceful. And then I could just go home and glitter glue in peace.

Though I keep having to, um, run out for more as more people arrive.

time waster, happy nymph, the calm one for once, nothing more than feelings, human dancer, groovy, life is good, responsible or something, clever. really.

You don't, um, have to, Helia! You can shop online.

Oh! That's a good idea actually. That way I could fit it in after my class or something.

Um, what would you like?

Oh! I don't need anything.

Echo! We should buy us a larger television. It can be my gift to you for Christmas, if you prefer.

You're not mad anymore?

Um, that would be nice. Thank you. But the gift I got you isn't nearly as, um, expensive and I don't need anything fancy.

That's alright. I'll enjoy it enough that I'm willing to spend the extra money. Now forget, so that you might be surprised on the holiday.

I'll forget right away! I mean now. I mean, um,

Is the intended conclusion of this holiday not having a portly man in a red coat and hat :
  • break into your home under the cover of darkness
  • consume a sacrifice of milk and cookies (Usually sugar. Or chocolate chip.)
  • leave you material goods in exchange

?

Santa Claus only comes when you're, um, young. (14 and under as far as I can tell.)

For the rest it is a season of, um, giving. A chance to exchange gifts with the people we care about. Back and forth. Symbolic.

Oh.
That certainly does explain why we've been -
Yes, under fourteen, certainly.
So, when one reaches the age of majority the task is  p a s s e d  on.
Are the suit and hat still required?

Not required but, um, fun! I enjoy the hats.

It is chaotic.

How much glitter glue have you prepared?

unloved_nymph December 2 2010, 01:49:01 UTC
Chaos, panic, and disorder even; depending on the, um, store.

A lot.

An injury would be unpleasant.

That's very specific, Echo.

Some people think it's, um, worth the risk.

It's a surprise. You'll have to wait to hear about your present.
