Mission accomplished...more or less

Jun 29, 2007 08:18

I posted this live journal two weeks ago for a couple of reasons.  One was to get the truth out there for people who wanted to know what happened to SD-1.  The other was to give people a place to 'unload' their thoughts, rants or experience with the whole situation, and to be able to do so anonymously if they chose.  Some take a dim view of those ( Read more... )

Hello,

I don't know you, even in the lightest, online version of the word. I only know of you. This is just a thank you for your frank opinion and the last few lines of your message.

For a long time, I didn't get you. Truthfully, I was scared of you. I think now, at the end, I finally understand what you're saying. I think you're all about acknowledging the humanity in people, taking in and seeing the bad with the good. I respect that.

Me, I like me my rose colored glasses. I find that sometimes real roses rise from crap only because of the way I choose to see things. This stance has bit me in the butt a few times, but is generally pretty successful.

Anyhow, I want to throw out some good in your direction. Thank you for the peace offering you gave freely to us Garberholics. I appreciate your use of our name. It didn't go unnoticed, and it means something to me. Peace to you, as well. I wish you and yours every happiness. And, whatever little bit of that is mine to give, it's yours.

your mission was definitely accomplished. I appreciate your LJ and the chance it gave people to discuss what happened and unload.

While Alias was still on the air, I was a casual visitor to SD-1, at best. I was not a member of any clique on the board and had a couple other message boards that I considered "home" rather than SD-1. After the show ended, I generally only poked my head into SD-1 once every month or so to check on my favorite fanfics. Initially, I only took an interest in this debacle out of concern that it would inconvenience my fanfic reading. But then that tween girl inside of me that can't resist a good soap opera kicked in and I started poking around to see what really happened. Thanks to both this poster and to Jodi for stating their sides of the story and for allowing the members of the SD-1 community, past and present, to be informed ( ... )

Jennifer Garner of course - the SD-1 admins hate her with a passion and take every opportunity to disparage her.

how can you hate JG with a passion and claim to love and manage an Alias board?? (just my issue I guess )

and ... thanks for this journal ... much needed for those of us who were just left in the middle of nowhere with few comments now and again...

Well they do hate JG and talk pretty awful about her -- not sure if they started hating her before she supposedly got Vartan fired from Alias but I do know they hated her after that.

I think that this Lj brought a lot of things to light and showed thoses who really were behind this and the trouble that was caused.
