I posted this live journal two weeks ago for a couple of reasons. One was to get the truth out there for people who wanted to know what happened to SD-1. The other was to give people a place to 'unload' their thoughts, rants or experience with the whole situation, and to be able to do so anonymously if they chose. Some take a dim view of those who don't want to post their name, but I'm sure everyone has their reasons for remaining incognito, and that's their choice.
So I think my goal was reached. There are quite a few posts, people seem to have gotten quite a bit off their chests, and the info of what happened to SD-1 was given from several different points of view. Possibly because of this LJ, or maybe not - and I'm not looking for any credit here - Jodi decided to post her version of what happened to SD-1, and to admit to all the things that took place from January up to the present. Of course several truths were omitted, but that old edit button comes in handy when the truth comes out elsewhere, doesn't it?
Despite the 'fessing up of what took place, there are still a few omissions in Jodi's account of what's happened, both in the past and in recent days. And in light of these past events, I still wouldn't trust this administration all that much anyway. No matter though. I've made my visit to the new, limited edition SD-1, gathered the things I thought might be worth saving, checked a few profiles, and just looked around one last time. Interesting that not all those who were banned before this latest re-opening made that list that was posted on June 25th at the Temp Board and in the SD-1 Status LJ. And from what I've heard, no nasty emails were sent this time, gleefully telling the members of their new banned status and where they can go. They were just quietly banned, presumably for having spoken an opposing view on some other venue, or possibly just by association. No wonder some people like to remain anonymous. If you want to remain a member at SD-1, be careful who you claim to be friends with, it just might get you banned.
Overall, I'm satisfied. I'm somewhat surprised, but pleased at how word of this LJ spread, and thank you to those who passed the link along, especially after it seems to have disappeared from all the search engines. I can't imagine how that happened.
This is probably my last post here, unless I'm struck by some new thought regarding this situation, but I doubt it. I think every point has pretty much been exhausted, at least from my point of view. Feel free to continue to comment, 'unload' if you will. Comments will continue to be screened and IPs logged. As I said in a previous post, all comments have been put through thus far, other than those in which the author was posting privately to me.
