Hmmmm

I'm not sure exactly how I want to say what I want to say. I guess I'll start by describing what happened today. I'm not mad about it, or upset, but it is still on my mind and I feel like talking about it.

Cut for Introspective Nerdery and also mild gore? )

kind of a bitch, insecurities, friends, avatar the last airbender, not sure how to feel about this, role play, just thinking, hmmm

Yeah, I can get that. A lot of people have a lot of different tastes, sometimes it takes some reminding that people do not have the same mindset as you, on either end of the scale.

I have been in too many groups that would just be like "dude deal with it or get out," so it is nice that they actually listened to you and compromised about it. You have a pretty good group there.

But how do you cut out somebody's femur without killing them in the process 8| you will bleed out from the femoral artery in a matter of seconds. Minutes if it's only nicked. I guess you can do all that if you tourniquet all the limbs first but sheesh why bother there are better, less fatal ways to torture people.

Yeah, I really do appreciate that they were willing to compromise with me, and the player of the character was understanding on the matter.

Oh no the pirate was totally dead by the end. I wasn't paying much attention to what Mr. Crazy was doing to the guy, I was far more interested in dealing with cultists in a different cavern, but I think that the femur was only done once Mr. Crazy decided he couldn't get any information out of the guy.

...Hrrghhhh of COURSE being ~insane~ justifies having a massive uncontrollable desire to HARM others!

God I hate bullshit like that :( I've never been in any tabletops and stuff so idk what to tell you but you have my sympathies at least.

Uhm, okay you can have a completely psychotic character without going to THOSE kinds of lengths. Canon examples would be like Hama or even Azula.

I would have been with you, that level of gore doesn't do it for me either (it's why I cant' handle the Saw movies). I think another thing that would make me uncomfortable is that it's AtlA. I'm all for bringing more serious and maturity to the show, it has the potential for it, but I feel sometimes fandom crosses lines. >_>
