Ok, My boss is crazy, She does things that 1 she should not do, 2 make no sense, 3 are just stupid or rude. In August she sent a letter to HR. I would go over her head to her supervisor and mention some of this behavior. At Detroit Edison at least, they are very explicit about the fact that you can do this if there is a severe problem and your direct supervisor is the source. We can make anonymous submissions, though.

I am going to put a web cam in your office. In plain site, with it tracked on your stuff. I dunno, maybe up in the corner over/behind the candy bowl. We can tell Alta that "someone" has been going through your stuff and we are going to monitor and record the office from now on to find out who it is and make sure they don't invade your space again. That should solve it, or at least make her paranoid. I have no intentions of hooking it up, but she doesn't need to know that.
