I can remember being 12 and sneaking down to the family computer at night to IM my friends into the wee hours of the night. Dude, that was even before text-messaging. Kids today have it so easy.
Yes! And connections that were routed through the landline, so if you were online there was no way of calling the house. It meant that if you'd exceeded the amount of time you were allowed to spend online, you couldn't even cheat while your parents weren't at home, because all they had to do was call to make sure you were sticking to the rules >.<

I also wonder how I ever survived on following shows just once per week. How are you supposed to pick up a show if you can't download all the seasons up to a certain point to catch up? And are you supposed to decide within the course of one episode if you like the show or not? And... the thought of waiting whole summers in between for the next season, without having saved all the former seasons to go through in the meantime. Doesn't seem very enjoyable. O.o

Yes they are! I have two :) Almost everything with polka dots is awesome. Scarfs, shoes... maybe not tops necessarily, but shoes. And hairpins!
